Video from our first meeting and the rest of day 3

First I want to say thank you to every person who is praying for us! We feel your prayers even though we are on the other side of the world! I am continued to be blown away by everyone who is taking time to read our journey, cheer us on, and anticipate our arrival home.

Now, for the rest of day 3. We went back to the cold room where we waited and talked to my friend Tracy and another couple that was adopting thier first child, too. There was a couple that popped their heads out and they were from Australia. They were here to pick up their 3rd child. All of these families were here to have lunch with Dr. Kim. We were invited to have lunch on Thursday. After we met Olivia, John and I walked a while before getting a taxi. There was a department store I wanted to go in, so we went in for a minute only to find that it was a department store just like we have. We came back to our hotel so I could upload a blog post since I knew it was getting late at home and had gotten requests for our pictures. :) After I got done, we headed out to get some lunch. We ended up eating at a small place called Caffe Bene. It wasn't really lunch as it turned into more of a dessert meal. Here is what we ate.

Next we grabbed a taxi and headed to Namdaemun Market. Wow! I have seen pictures of this market, but that doesn't do it justice. It was HUGE!!!!!

Everything is done here in sections so one minute we were in the kids section and the next we were in housewares. We were a bit overwhelmed and tired from the day so we left and brought our few purchases back to our hotel. When we got here, I tried to get online only to find something was wrong with our connection. That had to be fixed ASAP! The phone rang and it was Tracy to set a time for dinner. She had found that right in her hotel was a great burger restaurant! We drove over and enjoyed great company and had a good cheeseburger and fries. We returned to our hotel because the tech guy was coming to our room to fix our broadband connection. He was here quite a while and I laid down in our room. Apparently, I feel asleep (yep, still dressed from the day) with my head at the foot of our bed. I was turned this way so I could see into the den area to talk to mom. John and dad told me to get up and get ready for bed. My response was was "I just washed the sheets." I looked straight at them when saying this crumpling the sheets in my hand and turning my head to the top of the bed. I fluffed up the bed and turned over. **This is what they tell me.....I don't know if I believe it or not! :)

  3. I loved watching this video and occassionally hearing you and John comment. It was very sweet. It is surreal to see her in "action" and yet be waiting to meet her. Annelyn has all kinds of ideas of what they will do together and based on your post about your picture book declared that she should only have hard books. So, she started searching her shelves for hard books tonight.

  4. Laura, she is beautiful. I don't know if you got my last post, I think I put it on an earlier day by accident? Anyway, we love you and are praying for you. Carter litereally counted down the last minutes until 7pm Sunday night. He was so excited. I mentioned earlier, don't know if you got it, my kids did both the hiding behind the coat thing, and the tearing stuff up!! Don't sweat it, stop worrying. It is all normal, especially for her age. She is going to fall head over in heels in love with both you and John. School is fine. Sherry and the kids were all doing great when Rob and I were there the 14th. Take care and be safe. We look forward to seeing you soon.
    Love, Cindy and Carter Brown
